The poem entitled A letter to Pedro also called Pete by Rene Estella Amper serves as a letter of awakening to the ongoing crisis in the Philippines that we are facing because of the unwillingness of its people to be the instigators of the change the country desperately needs to solve its problems by staying in the Philippines and helping life it up from its degradation or in simplest word this poem want us to open our eyes that our country is experiencing a lot of social issues and the one who does it is us, HUMANS.

The poem is all about social issues, especially corruption which is very relevant in our country, many high positions that have been elected is corrupt they are the one who makes the life of many people worse, they use the money of people as their personal wants, and they use all the treasure of people for their self.

That's why in this country if you are blind, mute, and a puppet you will be a victim of these social issues. We all need to know that we have a right to fight, and we have a voice, so don't be blind, mute, and a puppet, so those social issues will solve and many people in this country will have a good life, but all of that happened if all the people in this country will having teamwork and do the righteous.
