2. SINIGANG BY: MARIE AUBREY J. VILLACERAN
SINIGANG
The short story entitled Sinigang by Marie Aubrey J. Villaceran gives us a lesson that in life we need to "forgive and forget", or in other words, this story says that "when you forgive, you HEAL, and when you let go, you GROW.
Like what happened in the story tells how Liza, the main character, handled the issue of her father, who had an ongoing affair with Sylvia and thus had a son, Lem. Even though her father has an affair she forgives her father and the mother of her stepbrother which is Lem but before she forgives all of them, her stepbrother died first.
That's why this story wants to say that each one of us commits mistakes that can hurt anyone. Sometimes, it is so hard to forgive especially when she/he commits mistakes that affect your entire life. But the only thing that will make your life peaceful is that need to learn how to forgive because if you forgive someone you will be happy and grow as a person. "Forgiving someone will let both of you escape from the things that will cause harm and bad to both of you, because the things that forgiving cause you, you will be happy and grow if you forgive".
